Poetry meets technology. Created in partnership with Ingo Maurer GmbH MOODMOON is a decorative wall lamp that combines innovation and tradition in the interplay of LED technology and Japanese paper.
Via an app, users can choose from 14 different lighting moods and color gradients and change the atmosphere of a room according to their own sensibilities.

Dynamic Silence. MOODMOON stands in contrast to today’s sensory overload and takes its viewer on a decelerating journey through worlds of color and subtle changes.
Light never has only a visual effect, but strongly
influences a person’s biology and emotion. Fresh colors
have a stimulating impact whereas warm color tones let
us come to rest. MOODMOON focuses on the individual
well-being of people and thus reflects the concept of
Human Centric Lighting.
“MOODMOON was created in Lockdown 2020 when my living room was used for various purposes: To work, live and relax. The moods of the luminaire can be adapted exactly to the desired situations.”
The reduced shape of the luminaire – square or circle - allows to focus on the essentials: The Moods. Like a pure canvas on a wall the painting comes to life only when flooded with color.

The shade of Japanese Paper is carefully handcraftet in a manufactury in germany.
Due to the natural structure of the Washi paper made from the bark of the mulberry tree, each paper sheet is unique.
The warm light shines through the paper screen as a rear projection. As if color pigments were pouring over the surface, the viewer experiences the effect of a flowing watercolor. The special effect arises from an interplay of light, shadow, color and rhythm, which are brought together as in a piece of music to form a coherent composition.
